I’ve been a musician ever since I was a little kid. I started piano lessons at age 4, and since then, have had formal training in piano, violin, flute, viola, guitar, and voice, as well as music composition and theory. I got my Bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University, with a concentration in music technology, which included sound recording and electronic music.
These days, I’m involved in many different aspects of music. Besides my teaching and performing, I am also a member of the band Flickerfall, an indie electronic pop duo. For Flickerfall, my range of tasks include singing and playing instruments, songwriting, sequencing, and production. I’m also an active member and remixer of the OverClocked ReMix community, which is dedicated to appreciating video game music through rearrangements.
I grew up on Long Island, NY, and currently live in Fairfax, VA. My hobbies are eclectic and numerous, including: fashion/costume design, video and board games, graphic novels and drawing, ultimate frisbee, and web design.
